By creating an account or using Pledgr, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Pledgr is a commitment contract platform. You create goals with a financial stake. If you meet your check-in requirements within each period, you are not charged. If you fail to meet your requirements, the staked amount is charged to your saved payment method. This is the core mechanism of the service and you agree to it by creating a pledge.
By adding a payment method and creating a pledge, you authorize Pledgr to charge your card if you fail to meet your goal requirements. Charges are processed automatically at the end of each evaluation period. All charges are final — missed goals result in real charges. You are responsible for ensuring your payment method is valid and has sufficient funds.
You may cancel an active goal at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current evaluation period — you must still meet your requirements for the current period. You may also delete goals that are no longer active.
Pledgr offers three verification methods: honor system (self-reported), photo proof (upload evidence), and referee verification (a third party confirms your check-in). The accuracy and honesty of check-ins is your responsibility. Pledgr reserves the right to investigate and reverse fraudulent check-ins.
If you invite a referee, they act as a third-party verifier. Pledgr is not responsible for referee decisions. If a referee does not respond to a verification request, the check-in is treated as valid (benefit of the doubt).
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Do not share your login credentials. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
Pledgr is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have been charged through the service in the past 12 months.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Pledgr after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
